Meallo App
Meallo is a comprehensive dining application designed to streamline how users discover and enjoy restaurants. The app allows users to easily make reservations, browse detailed menus, find nearby dining options, and stay informed about the latest discounts and offers. By combining convenience with curated discovery, Meallo enhances the overall dining experience and helps users make confident dining decisions.
Challenge
Dining experiences often feel fragmented due to lengthy reservation processes, unclear communication with restaurants, and difficulty discovering relevant menus or promotions. The challenge was to reduce reservation friction while enabling users to easily explore new restaurants, menus, and discounts, all while supporting a wide range of user needs and behaviors.
Process
We started by understanding users’ real experiences. Through surveys, we identified how people make reservations today and the key frustrations they encounter. Alongside this, we analyzed competitor products and industry trends to uncover patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
The research revealed three core issues: excessive time required to complete reservations, poor communication with restaurants, and disconnected interactions throughout the booking journey.
Based on these insights, we explored multiple solution concepts and validated each against user needs. Promising ideas were refined and translated into the ideation phase.
Low-fidelity wireframes were created to quickly visualize user flows and iterate based on feedback. These iterations informed the development of a high-fidelity, interactive prototype, which is currently being tested and trialed with users to evaluate usability and effectiveness.
Conclusion
Creating a reliable reservation experience requires more than surface-level insights. Continuous research and validation are essential to ensure the feature truly addresses user needs. We are currently conducting deeper user testing and gathering feedback to further refine the experience and deliver a seamless and intuitive solution.
